Unduk Ngadau and Flood
My dear fellow Steemians, sitting inside our apartment watching KD drama while the rain is pouring like cats and dogs outside makes me wanna talk about things that happened today. Today is the highlight of the Unduk Ngadau at KDCA, Penampang and today the flash flood hits Penampang.
Unduk Ngadau
Unduk Ngadau or Harvest Festival Beauty Queen just finished an hour ago. I didn't go to KDCA as I know it will be so crowded with people from all over Sabah, West Malaysia and tourists. Thanks to Carrybean in her FB Live, I was able to see the Unduk Ngadau result. This year Hosaini Keewon representing Inanam district won the title as Unduk Ngadau 2018, 1st runner-up from my district representative, Penampang and Putatan's representative won the 2nd runner-up. My congratulations to all winners.
Flash Flood
While having dinner this evening, my husband complaint that he heard lots of cars honking outside. We got curious and ran to the balcony to look outside. We're so surprised to see the parking area below was flooded with water. My husband rushed to relocate our car to a higher ground. The water rises so fast, five minutes after my husband relocate our car, the water rises up to knee level. I sympathised some of the residents didn't managed to relocate their cars.
The flood is all over Penampang and Kota Kinabalu areas. This is the first time my mum-in-law's house (The Nest) is flooded. The water never rises up to the floor level before. There will be lots and lots of cleaning to do tomorrow.

I also received news from our colleague at our center that it was flooded. We are supposed to receive a visit from the Japanese Embassy tomorrow but, looks like they'll have to postpone their visit this time. Sigh...more cleaning..
