Pacu: Fish with Teeth that are Extremely Human

Pacu is a freshwater fish from South America. It is present in majority of the streams and rivers in Orinoco and Amazon river basis of Amazonia lowland. However, they are said to be found also further away in Papua New Guinea.

"Paco" is a family of piranha carnivorous fish. The family, of course, is said to have variable eating habits. Some of them only feed on aquatic plants.

Piranha are generally carnivorous, but Paco is herbivorous.

But the existence of human-like teeth has made it a scary creature, so that with its jaw strength it can break the fingers of man.

The variation can be seen in their teeth formation. Piranha’s teeth are pointed and razor sharp; pacu’s teeth are straighter and more square and look strangely similar to the ones for humans.

the pacu can reach much larger sizes than piranha, at up to 1.08 m (3.5 ft) in total length and 40 kg (88 lb) in weight.

Some Americans tend to keep this fish in their own aquarium. But it should be noted that this aquatic organism can grow to 1.2 meters. It looks great for large home aquariums.
