How many bears do you see?
One thing you need besides patience when encountering wild animals is a good eye, so you can actually find them to begin with. Being that Grizzly bears are quite large but typically forage in long grass meadows along coastal shore they can blend in very very well.
Well, there is actually two in the photo... Can you see the other one? If not then I can give you a hint. Look at the top left side of the picture where the grass ends you will see a small head of one of this mum's cubs. Carefully watching their mum whilst staying hidden from potential predators and other large rogue males.

How far away are you from this bear?
At this point we were about 80 - 100 metres away from the animals. keeping a respectful distance and ensuring not to make mum afraid, which we did, as she continued to forage for another hour along the shoreline
Looks like there is two bears..the main one obviously and then one facing the camera
