endless work around the house
Work around the house can be tiring and it is never ending but take a moment to see what life is like for these adorable, cute flightless birds. To maintain their house/nest, which is made of rocks requires constant maintenance and is at times dirty work. Just check out this Adelie penguin with a small rock in its mouth covered in... well, dirt and penguin poo ensuring that their nest is always at its best for their chick and partner.
Small rocks are also considered to be an offering, somewhat like how we interpret flowers, and they offer them to their neighbours and other penguins, for an attempt to engage in some adult fun. Yes, that is correct they flirt and try to sleep with their neighbours constantly - males and females. This isn't exactly what you have always been told that penguins are loyal and faithful partners for life. It is quite the opposite in real life and it is a bit more like a bad/corny TV soap opera where drama is a constant theme.

The only bird I recall (there are certainly others) that mate for life are doves, I don't believe they even choose another if their mate dies. However, I did not know that penguins are such rascals and hussies. Ha! Too funny!

How can you be this close of penguins like nothing? For some reason, I have always thought that they will run or attack if you are this close to them.

Ha, I definitely did not know that penguins are such naughty creatures.
haha. A lot of people do not and have bit of a romanticized image of how they are. in reality not so much..

Yes, i saw a meme on facebook about penguins. One male was fighting with other for flirting with his wifey :p
