WAWA DAM - THE ENCHANTED DAM!

One of the famous landmark in Rizal, Philippines is Wawa Dam. It is known for its crystal waterfalls and scenic view. This slightly arched dam is situated in the high Montalban Gorge or Wawa Gorge. Wawa Dam (also known as Montalban Dam) is a gravity dam constructed over the Marikina River in the municipality of Rodriguez in Rizal province, Philippines.

This water reservoir is not just an ordinary dam but also a tourist spot in Rodriguez(also known as Montalban). Many tourist and locals visit Wawa Dam because of its beauty and also for recreation where friends and family held picnics and swim. Its beauty will definitely give you peace and calmness.

It is said that this Dam is a mystical place where fairies and enchantress lives. These creatures allures tourists who visit this water dam, they make the person fall for them by transforming into a beautiful human being.It is said they also steal the life of a tourist who enjoys the clear and cold water of the dam. If it's just a gossip why is it that almost every year you'll hear of the stories of tourist that drowned in the dam. There were also sightings of mermaid and fairy in its rocky waters. Whether these stories are true or not we will never know. But none the less the beauty of this place will always be a treasure and the mystery that no one knows will remain beneath the deep crystal waters of the dam.
