Azmak River

South of Turkey's Mugla province at the western end located within the boundaries of Akyaka, at the eastern end of the Gulf of Gokova. Although it is believed that Akyaka has been a settlement since antiquity, it remained a small fishing village far from its eyes until recently. But in the 1970s, it was discovered by massive tourist masses. It is a quaint town that keeps calm compared to many other resorts but still lacks tourists.

I knew that there were many apartments that I could visit in Akyaka, which I visited many times. But I did not know, it was the Gökova Forest Camp, where you could set up your tent for a very small fee and watch a magnificent sea view. It seemed like a good opportunity for those who are outdoor holiday enthusiasts like us. But on the first day of my vacation in Akyaka we got a terrible rainstorm. As the rain began to get more and more intense every minute, it seemed like it was not a good idea to camp. It was a necessity to make a quick decision and open the mouth of the interlocutor a little. So we settled in Erdem Hotel which is one of the most beautiful accommodation facilities of Akyaka. The pleasure of making the right decision is very little. Cama pit pit, we approve of our rainfall without being sick and tired of it: "Stay at the hotel, do what we have done, stay at the hotel, camp, it's like what happened to the weather ?!" "Ohhh mystery hotel." If the rain intensifies, I can see that too.

The next morning meteorology was with us. The intensity of the rain stopped, occasionally, "I can come back, according to him," he was sending only tiny drops of rain on the earth. Anyone who has holidayed in and around Gökova has heard of Gökova's boat trips. You can even see places like Sedir Island (the other Cleopatra Island), Thin Sand and Akbük that will never be wiped from your memories. I had attended these boat tours in previous years, but Azmak Creek, where I did not witness the beauty of my reputation, continued to wait for me in all its glory.

The waters of Azmak Çayın, meaning "water source" in the popular language, were spring waters from the Sakar hill, which is the west extension of the Taurus. Despite being a few meters above sea level, its clarity is extraordinary. The Azmak river, with its watery sodas, starts from the east of Akyaka and follows a 2 km track, spilling into the sea from the Gulf of Gökova and its depth reaches 8 meters.
We decided to rent a small boat to visit Azmak Creek. As the boat started its journey for about half an hour, the color harmony of nature and the clarity of the water even turned the head. Even at depths of up to 8 meters, you can choose the color of the stones under the water. As the boat moved forward I continued to watch the ducks, geese and fish that lived there. Even if you have the chance, it is said that you can even see the sisters. Unfortunately, we were not so lucky.

At the point where the water reached the deepest level, the captain stopped the boat. We can examine the environment a little more and if we have the courage to swim in 7-8 degrees of water. Even if I hesitated a little, the 15 minute freeze could not keep me from this experience. I watched the water for a while. Then the foot came to check the water with the flyer. I do not remember if I felt such a cold water. The wisest thing to do is to surrender and leave herself to an end. That's what I did. After the initial relaxation, it seems that nails are slowly starting to sink all over your body. At the same time it feels a strange refreshment as it is a watery water. It is also believed that this water is a rejuvenating and beautifying effect at the same time. I do not know if you get a hundred percent better in 15 minutes, but I'm sure I'm having a good time.

After we got out of the water and trembled and held the towels, the boat continued on its way. It is impossible to get rid of the effect of seeing azmak's tea from the beginning. After we had done so, we decided to make a walking tour around the area. There are many fish restaurants on the steep. If you have the opportunity, try these restaurants.
