Frogs in the Pond - Munich Botanical Garden
These little guys were making a tremendous noise, as it spawning season and they were croaking at the top of their voice!
You can clearly see the vocal sacks (elastic skin membranes) that help to amplify the sound.
I often walk past this pond without seeing anything, but today there were five or six happily floating around in the warm sun.
The gardeners were busy planting the new beds for the summer display.
It already looks pretty colourful - but soon the tulips will die off.
The alpine flowers are also in bloom, making the rocky outcrops very vibrant.
Its always peaceful down by the lakeside or under the shade of the trees.
