Will we survive?

The rain showered and yet the sky was clear
The light was bright and the flowers bloomed
The mud smelled fresh
The water was welcome
Squirrels ran and gathered the fallen fruits
The wind had been just right
To shake the ripening ones
Was it spring?
No, it was not
It was yet another mistaken season
Who was the reason behind it?
Man and his unscrupulous ways
The climate was reversing
Rains arrived at unforeseen times
Trees flowered when not in season
The crops were poor
The birds migrated
Bats flocked
Bringing diseases along
The land was flooded again and again
The excess rain soon became a pain
People still did not learn
Some bought cars
Because their neighbors did
Some went on overseas trips
To announce they were rich
The land remained untilled
The people turned consumers
Production came to a standstill
The waters receded
The wells dried
Man had nothing to say
Except blame the selfish leaders
Who were also the same
Nature had other plans though
Powerful enough to be worshiped as Gods
By the native forefathers of the land
The tornadoes, the tsunamis and the quakes
If man does not watch out
He has no one else to blame
