The Immortal Jelly Fish

Turritopsis dohrnii jelly fish has been known to be the only immortal being that exists as it has the ability and capability to live forever. The first time I heard of this creature was in a movie series called the blacklist. At first I thought it was on of this fictional ideas we see in movies. But I decided to make a little research on it and what I discovered was really fascinating.

The Turritopsis Dohrnii is a small species of biological immortal jelly fish and was first discovered in the Mediterranean Sea and in the waters in japan. This is one of the most fascinating creatures I have ever seen it has the ability to reverse it its age back to its youth rather growing old and die. Once the adult jelly fish reproduces overtime instead dying they transform themselves back to their juvenile polyp state. Their tentacles retract, their bodies shrink, and they sink to the ocean floor and start the cycle all over again. Under scientific laboratory study it has been shown that this creatures can undergo this process not just once but over and over again.

Over the year different species of immortal jelly fish such as the Turritopsis nutricula, Turritopsis rubra and also more kinds of the Turritopsis dohrnii. All having the nature of reversing the age back to its youthful stage. Although some has not been studied in their natural habitat but laboratory test has shown they possess this quality.

The only known way that this jelly fish can die is by either predator attack that is been consumed by other fishes or been struck by disease.

The saying that says nothing last forever has just been countered cause the Turritopsis jelly could last for eternity. So the good news is that you can be immortal bad news is that you have to be a floating jelly fish to do so.
