Muga silkworm is a type of silkworm that is only found in Assam, India. The larvae of this moths feed on som and sualu leaves. Its cocoons are used to make a special kind clothes (Muga Mekhela Sador) that is found only in Assam. The clothes are only used in some kind of special occasion like cultural festivals or in wedding's. The clothes are very expensive and it's very rare but it worths. Basically the clothes are known for it's glossy, fine texture and durability.
