I'm a fledgling macro photographer myself. If I've learned anything, it's that it's damn hard to capture a decent photo of anything that's moving.

Having dead subjects is a bit depressing, but it would certainly make the whole job of photographing them easier!

All of these photos are great but the top one takes the cake for me. Flawless detail throughout the entire head and abdomen!

It's a great result :) Did you use Photoshop to do the focus stacking, or some other tool?

Photoshop and Camera Raw.
Need to get back on it. All the critters in acotland are long legged so perfect for stacks.

Nice. I want to experiment with stacking at some point, it's on the list!
