Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is a shrub of the Malvaceae tribe originating from East Asia and is widely grown as an ornamental plant in the tropics and subtropics. Large flower, red and odorless. Flowers from various cultivars and hybrids can be either a single flower (a layered crown) or a double flower (layered crown) that is white to yellow, orange to deep red or pink.



In Sumatra and Malaysia, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is called a flower. This flower is defined as the national flower of Malaysia on July 28, 1960. The Javanese call it the worawari flower.




Hibiscus rosa-sinensis widely used as an ornamental plant because of its beautiful flowers. Flowers are used to polish shoes in India and as floral offerings. In China, red flowers are used as food coloring agents. In Indonesia, leaves and flowers are used in a variety of traditional treatments. The dried hibiscus is also drunk as tea.



In Okinawa, Japan is used as a hedge plant. In the southern part of Okinawa, this plant is called Gushōnu hana (flower of life after death) So much is planted in the tomb.
