Interesting article about the possible impact of the recent flooding in the midwest and a tropical system meeting in the lower Mississippi River. This is starting to look more and more troubling. The worst thing that could happen is a storm surge coming up all these rivers that are trying to drain into the Gulf of Mexico. That would create a world of flooding.....

It's a shame there isn't more places for the main rivers to empty into, we've leveed up too many of the natural waterways that would have been a safety valve.....
