For Louisiana's coastal tribes, 'being at the end of the earth is a dangerous place'

Interesting article about more damage from Hurricane Ida and effects it had on the peoples lives. It's sad to see that these people have lived in this area for hundreds if not thousands of years and this storm might be the last straw in them living there. When humans leveed the Mississippi River, cutting the wetlands where these people live off from the sediment, the land slowly sank into the water. The people had no chance to continue to make this a home. The last of these people will have to pack up and move to higher ground.
