Daily walks
The power of nature
Living on the edge of the town has it's advantages and disadvantages.
Yes, it takes longer to get to your work place, to the downtown, to your friends, takes longer to wait for the bus ( if you have to rely on the public transportation).
But on plus side - you can just step out of your drive way, and start enjoy the daily walk in the middle of relaxing nature.
Walking is a must. Walking is health. And as a result - a longer life.
Don't we want this all?
Here are some pics from our daily one hour (~6+ km) walk.
Our loved pet ( named Giris) is probably the one who enjoys these walks even more then us
He can get his tasty portion of grass here, and he can make his own choice from a huge selection. Just look, hum much he likes this:

My two year old trusted Garmin Forerunner-225 still does it's job well.
Counts and records everything - time, distance, pace, steps, speed, location, hear rate, sleeping phases, even burned calories.
At the end of the walk , at the click of the button - it sends all data to the cloud.
Ohhh, yes, I love gadgets !
Another advantage - we bring back home a large bouquet of wild flowers. Free of charge ! :
All this makes feel good. A bit tired, but good.
One who seems to be tired most, is GIRIS - 6 km constant run is not that easy for his very short legs
How much daily walk you are doing?
@onealfa
P.S.
You may re-blog this - if you think this post may bring a proper motivation to somebody. Thanks.
We have just got back from a walk, but when we saw your post... well we can't even say that we have went for it.
We were just for a short stepout from our home :)
Mabe we were too tired after work and we don't have any pet to take with us, but still you showed up a good example for all of us not to get lazy and find some time to enjoy the nature!
Good start is half job done !
Giris looks like a white bear.
I grew up on a countryside and I would always prefer that (of the edge of town) than the center.
Giris looks exhausted! (for some reason the video doesn't show here "This video is unavailable")
Ooopsss, sorry, this video was set to PRIVATE for some reason. I have now corrected.
Thanks so much for telling me this.
Cool, now I see it :) He is munching like there is no tomorrow :D
Not a lot sadly... But I do exercise 3 times a week or more :)
