Aurora Borealis
HAVE YOU EVER EXPERIENCED THE UNBELIEVABLE BRIGHT COLOUR LIGHTS DANCING ACROSS THE ARTIC NIGHT SKY, KNOWN AS AURORA BOREALIS OR THE NORTHERN LIGHTS?
Aurora Borealis - picture taken from Gamle Bybro (Old Citybridge) in Trondheim where we live at the moment.
This is another of Norway's impressive natural phenomenom. It is a physical phenomenom that occurs when the solar wind is more powerful than normally with large electrical charged particles. The moment those big particles collide with the earth's atmosphere there will be seen a bright dancing colour palette in the artic sky.
Unlike the summer midnight sun, this phenomenom is more likely to see in the winter time. The light come at night when the sky is dark. We have mostly seen it on very cold nights when the sky is clear, but dark.
Usually the Northern Light is seen in green/yellowish colours, but it might as well be seen in other colour palettes. It is said that the more north you get, the more stunning the light might be. Here is another picture of the Northern Light in Norway that we found online:
At least we will add a video by National Geographic to show this beautiful phenomenom:
STUNNING, ISN'T IT! We really love nature and all it has to offer!
