Day Second, Post Second. Unexpected

How was your day today?
Mine was a bit unexpected, I dare say, as the main river of our region flowed over its banks today. Completely.
Its like houses in water and all. Scary actually.
I was not even able to reach my friends' house as the road was already under the water. That's what I saw when I was driving to them.
Good thing is that today was a pick of water rising and now everybody expects water to go down. Hope it will.
Locals say there is nothing to worry about and that flooding like that happens each 5 years or so, that all the services are on alert... Well, this is reassuring but still scary I suppose.
The picture is taken in France, in the region that is called Aquitaine, not far away from famous wine city - Bordeaux.
This is the place I live now, I moved here 1 month ago.
I left Paris, its big city life, trade it for a small village with almost 400 habitants and my closest neighbour now is a horse.
Her name is Djava and she is 19 years old.
She is pretty mischievous, but kind. Like carrots and apples. Keeps distance and this is ok, hope we become friends one day!
It is a great difference, a wonderful change for a person who spent the whole life in the megapolis.
Like I have inhabited another planet, haha!
