Ditto on being tired of the self loathing method of teaching. I too remember the guilt trips of the 90’s.
I love the approach of stating the truth that people cause change and that, in and of itself, isn’t bad. It’s in our power to make changes that can be either positive or negative, so it’s simply on us to be mindful of that.
There is a little place in Virginia, named Saltville. Look into that. It may give you some interesting insights.
