Iris from foamiran

in #nature6 years ago

Hello!

My name is @mosha
I apologize for my imperfect English
Recently I received an order for a hairpin with a three-dimensional flower of Iris.
I did irises for the first time and I want to share how it was :)

After making the first iris, I did not hit the right color, because the customer preferred a cool shade of warmth.
In the creation of the second iris, I made some changes and it turned out to be more rigid and resistant to any winds :)

To create an iris you will need the following:

  • thyme phaayran
  • scissors
  • iron
  • orchid mold
  • melamine sponge
  • oil pastel
  • sponge
  • wire
  • second glue
  • flock powder
  • white teip-tape
  • base of a hair clip-crocodile

On 1 flower of an iris it is necessary to prepare 9 petals: 3 small, 3 medium, 3 big.
A piece of fameiran wrapped with a melamine sponge, applied to an iron and then applied to a mold. After she cut out each petal.
Such impressions have turned out:

Creating a delicate pink iris:

Zatonirovka each petal on both sides in a gently pink color:

In the center of the small petals, she cuts:

Thanks to the tremendous properties of the zephyr fonamiran, a wavy edge is made on each petal, pulling them neatly with fingers in different directions:

I glued the wires to each petal - to the small and medium from the outside, and to the large ones - from the inside:

The wires of large lobes were applied by a second glue and a pink-colored flock powder sprinkled on the central "groove":

Flower Assembling:

With the help of a tape tape, she gathered together small and medium-sized petals:

Then connect 3 pairs of petals together with a tap-tape and also tap-tape attached 3 large petals, placing them just below the small and medium ones:

Ash-lilac iris:

In the creation of ash-lilac iris, there are no significant differences from gently pink, only that I have pasted a wire into each lobe:

To do this, I cut out the rectangles that fit in size from the thinned zephyr fonamiran, put a wire in each pair and covered the resulting structure with paper, ironed on both sides.
Then she also made an impression on the mold and cut out the petals:

The wire glued in the petals looks more neat and the petals themselves can be arched as you like.

The customer chose 18 colors from a palette of cool pink shades and by mixing 6 crayons of oil pastel I tried to achieve the necessary shade:

Color rendering distorts ... photographed under artificial illumination:

The processing of the petals and the assembly of the lilac iris is not at all different from the gently pink:

Such irises turned out in the end:

Thank you very much for your attention! :)
