The first question is: What is "meditation"? Meditation is a tool to train ourselves so that we have an inner position and a more useful mental state. This happens by repeating the generation of a particular state of mind so that we are familiar with it, and then become our habit. Of course, there are many good mental states and inner situations. One of those mental states may be to become more relaxed. In other cases, we may be more focused, or quieter, without constant mental fluctuation or anxiety. There is also a state of mind in which we are better able to understand ourselves and life around us, and we may be more compassionate and affectionate towards others. So there are many kinds of useful mental states that we can achieve through meditation.
What is the purpose of meditation?

Then comes the second question: Why do I want to generate these mental states? To answer this question, we must look at two factors: first, what do I aim at? Second, from a poetic perspective: "Why do I want to achieve this goal"?

For example, why would I want a clearer, quieter mind? One of these reasons is self-evident, perhaps because our minds are not calm, and this makes us very upset; this causes us a lot of unhappiness and prevents us from performing the best we can with life, and this troubled mind can affect our health, Problems with our families, or poses a threat to our other relationships, and may be the source of difficulties in the workplace. Thus, in this example, our goal is to overcome some of the imperfections, or some problems we have, both at the mental and poetic level, and decide to assume the responsibility to overcome that problem in an organized manner, through meditation training.

What is the poetic state that motivates us to begin meditation? Well, perhaps we may be fed up with and exacerbate our difficult mental state. And then we say to ourselves: "This is enough so far, I have to get out of this situation, and do something about it." For example, if our goal is to be more helpful to our loved ones, then the poetic state - as well as the state of disgust - may be the feeling of love and compassion. This combination of all those feelings drives us to find a tool that enables us to be better at helping us.

It is very important that we have a realistic understanding of the concept of meditation. Let us have a realistic understanding of thinking that we should not think that by contemplating all our problems will be solved, this is unrealistic. So meditation is only a method or tool. When we want to achieve a result and give us a positive desire to achieve it, we need to realize that that outcome will not be achieved by just one reason, but many many reasons and conditions that must come together to achieve that result. For example, if I have excessive blood pressure, of course, meditation may be useful; daily meditation may help me reduce stress, but meditation alone will not lower the high pressure, it may help, but I may also need to change my diet, Some physical exercises, as well as the need to take some medications besides. Many factors when applied together will achieve the desired result to lower high blood pressure.

The tools used for meditation can, of course, be used to build a negative state of mind. For example, I may meditate on how horrible my enemy is. Meditation has been used to develop a sense of hatred, which will then lead me to seek to kill this enemy, but that is not how it is used. Meditation General. In general, meditation is used as a tool to build a positive state of mind, which will benefit us and others.
How do we meditate?

The third question is: How do we meditate? There are many ways we can use it depending on what state of mind we want to develop, but the common denominator of all is the need for training. "Training" means repeating a particular type of training over and over again. If we want to train our bodies, we will need to practice some physical activities on a regular basis, and similarly we need to train in our minds.
Develop new mental states through meditation

Meditation is to deal with our state of mind, so it makes sense to use a mental tool to achieve positive change. We may use a physical tool to try to change a state of mind. For example, sitting in different situations of yoga, or doing various martial arts such as Tai Chi; these tools in themselves are not one way of meditation. Such physical methods help generate a particular state of mind, but meditation is something you do with your mind. Of course, you can meditate while doing yoga, or while practicing Tai Chi, but physical activities and mental activities are two different things: one we do with our bodies, the other we do with our own minds.

We may need to use many different causes, both physical and mental, to achieve the desired results. We may work with the physical body, for example, by changing the diet, which can affect our state of mind, but meditation is working with the mind itself. Therefore, if we are to achieve a certain goal, we must then realize what we need to change in our lives, both mentally and physically. We may need to begin to practice meditation, change our diet, increase physical exercise, or all that Things are combined in order to reach the desired goal.

When this happens properly, meditation sessions will begin to influence our daily lives between sessions. If we practice a particular state of mind during meditation sessions, whether it is a quieter or more attentive state, or more loving, the goal is not only to be able to generate that state of mind while sitting quietly for
