The anahaw tree
The leaves of Anahaw are broad-legged. When rainy season, farmers use it to cover their backs. It usually grows in forests in many parts of the archipelago. The leaves of Anahaw are also made of the ceiling, mat and roof of the house. Its tree rising up to 20 meters and a diameter of 20 centimeters is mostly used in fisheries. Its wood is used as a pillar and floor of houses in the countryside. It is also a good material for making arrows, canes and so on. Anahaw fruit can be used for cooking together with the others vagetables. Anahaw is also cared for as ornamental. It is a great addition to decorating during a celebration.
