Mushrooms have popped up in the woods after last nights brief rain..
Their short lives are shortened further by nibbles of woodland creatures...
This red one is just the size of a US Quarter

Looks like you have a few types of russula mushrooms there. The green topped ones are actually edible. I've never actually tried eating russula though since some can give you stomach aches.

I might have found more if I went out earlier... There were signs of more that were eaten with only the stems laying on the ground...

Very nice! Lots of mushrooms on the future too!! We are waiting for some mushrooms! Perhaps I should get some seeds!
