Toadstool high rise buildings.
Tight clusters of toadstools growing to a significant height up a tree trunk.
Between the lichens, ferns and bark of the host tree there must be sufficient rotting organic material to allow for this colony of toadstools to maintain itself a reasonable distance above the forest floor.
In this particular area it seems to be subsisting purely on bark alone.
This contrasts quite nicely with the other fungal inhabitants of the rotting forest floor.
