The Oldest Tree on the East Code
I recently was in the Charleston, South Carolina area for the holiday season. It was great to visit family and experience a new city. While there we were able to take a historical site bus tour. One of the most intriguing stops on the tour for me was the Angel Oak Tree. This was a tree straight out of a movie. Like really, it reminded me of the Lion King tree! It was a sight to behold. The Angel Oak is the largest tree on this side of the Mississippi River, and estimated to be about 400 years old. It’s roots twist and turn in ways that would marvel even the most esteemed botanist. This tree definitely had a very strong spiritual vibe as well. Apparently it was the site of many deaths and wrong doings in the past, but you can Google more on that. You can definitely feel the heavy vibration when on the grounds. I was able to get some dope photos! If you are ever in the Lowcountry, be sure to check out this local treasure.
