Acapulco's First Real Rain of the Year
Last night we had our first very unexpected rainstorm here in Acapulco of this year. That's right, it's the end of May and we're just now getting a first rain. Our last rain realistically came at the beginning to middle of October last year, to give you a bit of perspective. Here's a shot of some clouds dusting over the mountain after the rain finally stopped.
Windows on the truck were left open, where there were still bags from Home Depot inside. Several ducks died as they didn't have enough shelter in this unexpected storm. Both Rebel and Tequila have gone on strike as far as the bathroom is concerned, although Rebel more so.
For a wolf dog, he's a bit prissy when it comes to mud. For me this is the worst part of the wet season, although they do get over it eventually. The best parts lie in the cloud avalanches, lack of need to water my garden and the greening city, which was already working on it by the time these photos were taken.
Everything on our hill turned a special yellow green this morning as a result of the rain.
So there you have it. There's a city after 8 months of no rain and one night of lots of it. @modprobe managed to get some damn good shots of some cloud avalanches this morning, which I'll probably post here later.

I didn't realize it rain so little there. Thanks for posting the nice pictures as well.
It's got a wet and dry season, with the wet season happening officially in a few weeks from now.

The first rain of the year usually lets you know where some air conditioning you installed may not have been fitted correctly... woke up this morning to my bedroom being a swimming pool.
My house doesn't need air conditioning because of how it's designed. But it does show me where the roof leaks in this new house. No where bad, but wet spots were visible
Rain is the key to life. Hope you guys get plenty!
