Urban Beach

Belle Isle is one of my favorite spots in Detroit. There probably isn't a more peaceful place to connect with nature in motown than this island park in the heart of the city.

The place deserves a whole article written about it because it has so much to offer, there's a conservatory, aquarium, a museum, golf range, nature center and even more cool attractions to attend. And of course the beach.
If you're feeling like taking a dip in the Detroit river that would be the spot, although some people prefer to stay away from the waters because they aren't exactly the cleanest, some still give it a try haha, Alexa doesn't mind one bit.

I didn't swim in the river because, I don't know, I heard bad things about it, but I guess the city inspects the water and it's safe, so. Either way, it was a rainy day yesterday in the D so I just wet my feet by the shore (still got 'em, they didn't fall off or anything like it and in case you're wondering, Alexa didn't mutate either hahaha).

I didn't feel like carrying the camera that day, and now I kinda regret not taking it, phone pictures don't quite do this place a justice. But oh well, there will be another time.

While your words just says it all about teh place .It sure is a beautiful place to be :)

Well the images were beautiful as well with the Phone camera :)

Seems like the water is a mirror of the Sky .

Yeah, I thought the reflection looked nice too so I decided to share these pictures haha thanks!

The experience at the beach is unique, I love to relax. Venezuela has beautiful beaches and thematic places to get away from the stress of routine.
Beautiful photo friend. regards

Agreed, the beach is the best! Thanks!

I hope you have enjoyed this beautiful place. Greetings. Beautiful photos

Oh yeah, it was super nice, thanks :)

Did you see any bodies floating upside down or hypodermic needles bobbing up and down. lol
It looks like it's another world within a world, great photo's

Hahaha, didn't see any bodies, but there probably were some in the river back in the day.
Yeah, the reflection looked so pretty :) thanks!

Kayaking there is alot of fun. There are lots of water routes throughout the whole island and you can check out some abandoned buildings that is harder to get into by foot.

Really? I had no idea, thanks for the tip, maybe Matt will be into this!

Yeah, maybe we can go rent kayak and take a little kayak trip through the island one of these days.

I can see a quite a few people swimming in one of the pictures, either they're not aware or they aren't worried. It still looks pretty though.

They're probably not worried, a lot of people do swim in the river, it was a rainy day too so most people were just grilling and hanging on the shore haha.

Thanks!

What is it so spectacular about your art in photography: It is the uniqueness in its detailed coverage. (despite using a phone)
And please don't attempt to go near that river again perhaps those 'mutants' I see in the river might be there as a lure. hahaha

Hahahaha! Could be, you never know with them mutants :D

Thank you :)

haha, yeah, of course.

красота!
