in #nature9 years ago

Hey everyone!

Today I am gonna show you the progress of my hollyhock seeds planting. I bought the seeds from ebay and I am gonna show you how I germinate it through paper towel method.

Since it's Chinese, I cannot read it . I will just show you how the product look. I love it that it has about a hundred seeds in it. Some seed packets I have bought before only has less than 20, and some could not even germinate.

What I did is that I place the seeds inside the paper towel, arrange them in in a way they won't be difficult to remove when they sprout. After putting it in a towel, dampen the paper towel enough to soak the seeds with moisture. Place the damp paper towel in a zip lock bag and place it somewhere with direct sunlight.

After three days, most of my hollyhock seeds has sprouted and with this state, you can transfer them to your pot or to the spot where you want them to grow.

It is said that hollyhocks love the sun so much. It needs a well-drained soil and water them once a day. Since it is still a seedling, it is always advised to keep then under the heat of the sun water them as often, enough to keep the moisture while it has not produced the first 3 main set of leaves.
