The leaf eater

The reason I took this insect image was because I was impressed by the way it ate the leaves. It's like making a boundary, or a circle, for that part of the leaf that it will eat, then slowly eating that part until it looks hollow. So for the next and the next. It has its own way, a special lifestyle, I think. I like this. It's like teaching something!

The scientific name is Hoplasoma unicolor, and better known as Leaf Beetle. I found not much information circulating about this insect, nor from a wikipedia source.

These images were captured in Aceh, and this is one of the many insects or beetles found in the region.

I don't know why it lies in its circle, is it being satiated or just resting for a while while enjoying the morning light ??

Apparently, there was a conversation going on, or a negotiation on the partition of the leaf??
