The beauty flowers of a weed

in #nature7 years ago

Many adverse impacts to the aquatic environment caused by water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes), due to its high growth rates. Examples such as the increased of evapotranspiration, lower levels of dissolved oxygen in the water, siltation, and disrupting transport in the waters. For that reason, it is considered a weed.

One restraint on the growth of water hyacinth, which has been done, is to use the water hyacinth, such as paper-making materials, composting, biogas, furniture, handicrafts, as a medium for the growth of mushroom, etc. But, reportedly, this plant could absorb pesticide residues (see link). Perhaps, because of It also, then the plants that I took its pictures, it was found in a pond that holds water that flows from a paddy field in a rural location in Aceh.

And here, I want to say that this plant has beautiful flowers.
