Be Beekeeper in Cameroon and save Abogphen Highland Forest in Kedjom-Keku. Each 12$ allows us to make 1 hive! Honey is the best forest friendly product.
Honey is a great product which is very demanded in Cameroon. It is healthy food full of minerals and vitamins. Those are some of the reasons why we would like to establish Forest Friendly Family Cooperative. Honey, wax, and propolis would be our first product which will help local farmers to gain from forest friendly business as beekeeping is. To effectively start we need to make 1000 hives. We can make them by ourselves. we can teach the others how to take care of your hives, we already have the necessary equipment. Only lacking material to build hives. We have made already over 100 hives and set up them in the forest. Most of them are already colonized by bees. Help us to increase the number of hives to make forest conservation as a profitable business.
12$ = 1 bee hive = 100 sq m of the mountain forest saved and restored = up to 100$ per year for the local farmer

You know honey is the only food that doesn't have an expiration date. It can last thousands of years or longer. Ancient honey was discovered in some tomb(I forgot the details) and it was still edible
Interesting article. Its such a pity that wonderful honey comes from such a gross looking thing!
Nice picture
