Reindeers in the landscape of northern Finland.
In the north of Finland you can see reindeers almost everywhere. The landscape in the north is open, spacious and peaceful. Beautiful nature offers many possibilities foe hiking in the mountains.

Some animals pay the price for human constructions. Sad but not so unusual happening along roads in the north.

It's weird that in the shop at Kilpisjärvi, frozen deer meat is usually cheaper than frozen reindeer meat.
I agree. Reindeers are ubiquitous there. Deer has to be transported from the more forested areas in the south.
I suppose the deer has been shipped in frozen condition from some far-away country. Still a bit weird that the packaging is the same, the meat looks the same, it even taste the same, just the price tag that is different.
Reindeer meet is the best one, the price in not the most important :)
What a pity that the reindeer have so difficult to survive with people...
Probably in a mist just his not noticed?

By the way, I've heard that British people dislike eating reindeer meat because to them it would be like eating Rudolf (the Rednose).

Feeling sad seeing the last picture. Animals looks nice in forest not beside the roadside like lifeless. However, all the pictures are really nice. It's a combination of nature and animal. Good photography as well. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing animals. We only have the red deer and the European roe deer in the Czech Republic. I need to visit Scandinavia to see some reindeer and moose too :)

very unfortunate once the animal died of human .. I hope there are some people who want to solve the problem ..
