As a child, we sometimes visited an "aunt" in Oslo (not a real aunt, but a good friend of my grandparents), and she had apple trees in her garden - but we only went there during the summer vacation, so only when I became adult I finally got to experience real, ripe apples from real apple trees!
Like many other Oslo people, I see @clains is doing a bad job picking the apples :-)
Thanks tobixen for commenting, nice with apple trees in the garden. In every garden around there are a lot of apples. Yes , it is sad that all these good apples are not picked :)
