Over Japan's Mt. Yahiko and to the Sea (photos and movies from a beautiful day in November)
I took the long way home today to clear some exhaust from my mind. This took me over Mt. Yahiko in Niigata prefecture, Japan, to the seaside. I was working in a small town called Sanjo on the other side of the mountain and decided the freeway was too boring for today. Too much routine can be a death sentence to inspiration.
Weather was beautiful. These kind of days put me in another place--a surreal feeling--which is impossible to put into words probably. I composed a little snippet of music and a video to share the experience as best I could.
I hope you enjoy riding with me.
Thanks for stopping by.

The first picture with the sun glowing in the background is absolutely magical. And what a nice scenic drive, looks like a very relaxing place. Sometimes I wish I lived in a place like that, but then I wonder if I would miss the conveniences of big city life.
Thanks. I really think you'd like it here. But then, I really think I'd like living in Tokyo sometimes as well. となりの庭が青い?
Neat shots and video! Upvoted and I followed you.
