Oh trust me you can be happy that you decided to stay away from them, I remember seeing one for the first time as a small child, it was the prettiest fluffiest worm, I played with it for a tiny bit before the sting kicked in, it felt -as I can describe it now- like a million wasp stings all over my skin, but it itched at the same time, and if you dared scratch or even touch, the tiny embedded hairs would sink deeper into your skin and burn even more. The hairs were so fine that trying to get them out would either cause them to go deeper into your skin or break off at surface level - to say the least - It was not fun.
