Kadayawan Festival

Kadayawan is a tradition of celebrating good times and being grateful for them.

Many fruits are in season like Durian, mangosteen, marang (jackfruit), and many more.
There are street dances of cultural and tribal attires.
Float parades and many plants and products are sold.

looking for nice hanging plants

• These are bamboo orchids
  i don't really know what they look like but these costs only 20 pesos.

that's very cheap and most of the plants that they sell or between 20 to 50 pesos and the fern the dried fern where you attach the orchids is only 10 pesos, the plants that are bigger cost around 100 to 200 pesos but they are very nice and most of them are flowering plants so it's very worth it.

I don't know what their names are since I haven't seen any of them before.

This is dried fern compressed into little pads where you attach the orchids to.

This old lady is selling with her niece named Ivy.
They travelled 6 hours or so to the City from a far away province named Isulan.

We brought our own plastic bags. Eco friendly! Reuse!

How to install?

Okay let's do this! Hanging orchids!

Some can be put in pots like this, this is a compressed fern pot. Its so awesome. This orchid is dancing lady

I don't know what any of their flowers look like. I'm excited to see them bloom.

We got a succulent ₱50

Some orchids or hanging plants you just tie them to a tree and they will cling to it with their roots.

For some, you tie them to the fern pad and then tie it high up some tree or hang them.
Elevation is necessary!

We have our frangipani tree where we tied the hanging plants in and some smaller plants. This looks so pretty and interesting.

We transfer them to pots :)

We have ferns too. Look how their roots have fluffy stuff haha.

So cute, like seashells.

I'm excited to see them bloom.
