Mainly broad-leaved woodland.

Retiring; searching twigs and buds for food; visitors reedbeds in winter, attractive tit seen well.

Adult has a white plumage. Head shows narrow black stripe running back from eye to join black nape band. Back pale blue-grey and wing blue with white wing-bar long; blue with white feather tips. Bill stubby and dark and legs dark.
Juvenile:
Juvenile similar to adult.
