The Summer Sun is Setting: Beauty in Loss
The summer is not over but it's end does near.
We have plans yet before August ends,
camping and travel and food with friends.
But fight as we may, the sun downs earlier today.
The heat is fierce and unrelenting but we know it can't last.
The rain, wind and snow will come; Children will return to their class.
Summer is coming to a close. The trees tell me so. Seeing these colourful leaves, I am strangely joyful but also sad, their beauty, is death?
Oh the complexity of life and mind. Could we enjoy anything, forever? Yes I believe so, but nothing made.
Fall will bring it's own wonders but for today I want to just revel in the hot heat and summer sun. Today let me forget tomorrow, and be grateful for the present in all it's difficulty, grace and mercy.
Tomorrow will come fast enough.

So true. Its easy to stay in and relax, but sudden as summer begins it also ends.
