are a specific large breed of dogs, they originate from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia especially from Georgia. The male causasian ovcharka weighs roughly 50-100 kg while female's weigh around 45-80 kg(they can weigh over 200 pounds) and are about 25 - 28 inches tall . These dogs are powerful, intelligent, strong-willed, good trackers, athletic,possess strong muscle build, calm(although at times fierce to strangers) and dominant. All these overwhelming characteristics in a Man-friendly predators makes it suitable for hunts, it's often used to hunt bears and kill wolves.
The guardian dog is more friendly with cats than dogs and they are good with children although they are not friendly with strangers. Training this breed of dogs is an herculean task, it's advice to train them from puppy,they can be very aggressive if not trained properly from puppy.

They are social dogs and should be exposed to the free environment it's not advice to keep them indoors and treat them as pets.
They are healthy, long living dogs with average life span of 10 - 12 years. This beast of nature is one of the most dominant predator in its species, it's a survival of the fittest people.
