Cactus – the spiny succulents

Have you ever wondered how many plant species are in the world? Well, I did not found an exact number so I don’t have an answer yet to this question, but when it comes to flowers I noticed that many prefer to talk about them by creating categories: "the most expensive flowers in the world", "the most beautiful flowers in the world", "the most rare flowers in the world", "the strangest flowers in the world", " the biggest flowers in the world "... and the list can go on and on...

And as nature never ceases to surprise us with her beauty, I've decided to introduce you my favorite plant category: Cactus – the spiny succulents.

Known worldwide for the way the cactus managed to adapt in an environment almost devoid of water and with high temperatures this category include thousands of species in a variation of colors, sizes, shapes which differs from one type to another.
Most of the cactus have thorns, these are actually the leaves that have managed to adapt to the arid environment and took the role of protecting the plant from predators and also took the role of preventing water from evaporation.
Cactus flowers are impressive by the variety of vivid colors and their sizes.

The cactus requires quite a low-maintenance, making him an ideal plant for your flat. You no longer have to worry about your plants when you go on holiday.
