Northern Cardinal

This bird is found in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The males are red and the female are brown with a red beak.

The Hoopoeis a colorful bird found across Afro-Eurasia. It is easy to recognize it by it’s distinctive ‘crown’ of feathers. It’s name is comes from the cry of the bird.

Peacock

The Peacock is found in Asia, but are widely known to be popular from India. The Peacock is of the pheasant family. The males are famous for displaying a fan of feathers to attract a mate.

As colorful and spectacular the Quetzal is it is becoming endangered in it’s native habitat of Central America. The feather of many colorful birds are in a demand, which is causing this and many other bird to be endangered.

Eastern Rosella

The Eastern Rosella is native to Australia. It is an amazing singer, it is also able to learn to speak. Due to it’s speaking ability and singing people like to have Rosellas as pets.

Hoatzins

This bird is native to the north of South America. For decades explores though that this bird was a myth.

Golden Conure

The golden conure lives in the Amazon rain-forests of Brazil, however it is currently endangered due to the illegal mass deforestation. Golden Conure are different from other birds because of it’s unusual breeding technique: a pair of parents usually have a number of volunteers to help raise their young.

Troupial

The Troupial is the national bird of Venezuela. It has a long tail and a bulky bill. This bird is very aggressive and prefers to steal nests from other birds rather than make one of it’s own.

Kingfisher

Kingfisher have a wide distribution and can be found in many areas, except the Americas. They are small to medium size.

Mandarin Duck

This duck is found in East Asia and is part of the perching species of duck. Only the males display the colorful feathers, the females are predominantly brown with a white eye ring.
