"The king of all mountain trails"! Kungsleden in Northern Sweden.

The hike between the cabins at Sälka and Singi is among the most beautiful and magnificent that the Swedish mountain realm can offer. Imposing summits, steep slopes and huge glaciers surround you as you walk across the luxuriant mountain heaths.

Day 4 we started from Sälka to the Singi cabin. The leg is about 13 km.

Halfway on todays leg we got the view of the Singi delta. The cabins are located in the end of the valley between the two mountains in the middle.

One of the cabins at Singi, the little house to the left is the outdoor toilet. The colder outside the less smell inside :-)

A few days it was night frost with about - 5 degree.

At Singi we leave the Kungsleden long-distance trail. The hike between the Singi cabins and the STF Kebnekaise mountain station passes through the narrow part of Laddjuvagge, with its spectacular scenery.

A great place for lunch and a coffee. Miss nothing, (except the kids then) :-).

Spring flowers can bloom late in the mountain.

Nero is ready to cross the little bridge.

I am grateful that can experience the mountains in the fall.

The Kebnekaise mountain station visits of many people to walk/climb Kebnekaise, the highest mountain in Sweden, (2101 m.) We spent the last night at the mountain station, with a warm shower and, good food and finally (maybe) the possibility to use the cellphone to call home and all other "important" thing we have to do on the phone.

The last goodbye. A great trip is soon over. It's always a bit sad when great experiences are completed, but hopefully we will experience more in the future.
