Frozen landscape.
Preparing for the winter.
During the autumn the weather shift fast in northern Norway. We can have days with rain and "suddenly" wake up to clear sky and low temperatures where the landscape freeze.
High humidity in the air and low temperature make beautiful hoarfrost on gras and trees.
Ponds gradually get thicker ice. If we are lucky we can walk or skate before the snow is coming.
Best regards
Harald
It's not frosty here in Austria yet, but soon I think the grass will be white frozen in the morning here too and I'll try to make some more hoarfrost photos...
Frost can give some nice photos👍🏻

That's true :)
Love the hoarfrost on the grass photo. Early ice is pretty also clear and smooth before it gets thick or covered with snow
Ponds freezing over. I've only seen very shallow ones frozen here.

A little but colder here north, this was also up around 500 meters above sea.

That explains it. I would guess that it will happen much later at sea level.

Yes must be more stable cold. Frost and melt a couple of times so far. (Terrible English😁)

What I was thinking is that because the sea never freezes, the warmth will keep ponds at sea level from freezing until much later than ponds up on the fells.

Yes that's right 👍🏻

Beautiful, I really love the first photo.
