A bike ride in the mountains.

We took a trip to a nearby mountain area called Skjomenfjellet today. There is a road up to the mountain which is nice to use bicycles further inward the mountains. It is possible to drive by car too, but with bicycles it is easy to stop, look around and of course take som photos. Here are some pictures from todays trip.
The area is around 600 to 700 meters above sea. The road follow the valleys with litte uphill and downhill cycling.
There are several road and possibilities to ride many miles in the mountains. These roads was made in connection with hydropower development from 1973 to 1980. They are open for the public and is the starting point for many hiking destinations.
Last summer my wife and I went up the mountain in the middle, but unfortunately it became fog and we had to turn around beneath the steep area to the left. Maybe we try again this summer.
