Why do snails like rain and wet weather.

On a hot day, snails do not crawl and sit in their lodge sealed the entrance leading a nocturnal lifestyle. But as soon as the day goes, they are everywhere. And all because they crawl out slippery slime. In rainy weather, this is very easy. Everything is so wet around it.
And on a sunny day, the mucus dries up and it is difficult for them to move even for short distances.
