The genus Echeveria comprises about 150 species, native to Mexico, Central America and Northwestern South America. Echeveria 'Purple Pearl' is a mutation of 'Perle von Nurnberg', a hybrid horticultural variety resulting from the crossing of two species, Echeveria gibbiflora 'Metallica' and Echeveria protosina. This succulent, perennial plant is 15 cm high and 20 cm wide. Stem thick, rigid, 2 cm. Persistent foliage, arranged in rosette, gray green with pink reflections in winter. Leaves thick, but not fleshy, oval-triangular. Pink and white flowering with orange interior, in summer. Inflorescence in cyme up to 40 cm. Not rustic. Minimum temperature: + 5 ° C.
