Very early this morning, something caught my attention immediately I came out of my room, it was the dazzling smile radiating from the full moon high up in the sky. The smile was so huge that I began to reflect on the impact the moon has on the earth. During my long stare and reflection upon the moon, I realized how great a lesson can be learned from observing the moon. In fact, the moon is always passing a message across to us all. Just as we all know that nature has its way of teaching us important lessons, the moon is no doubt part of this nature and also has her own message. Among the moon’s many messages to humans, I’ve decided to share this few.

GIVE FROM WHAT YOU RECEIVE

We all know that the moon has no light of her own, but she gives the light she receives from the Sun to the earth.

Lessons from the moon 1: Share with others whatever nature has blessed you with.

HELP PEOPLE WHEN THEY ARE IN DARK AND DIFFICULT TIMES

In the earth’s most troubled period of the day, the moon provides light to the earth when all is dark.

Lessons from the moon 2: Be a friend in need of your neighbors.

DO GOOD CONSISTENTLY WITH A SMILE ON YOUR FACE

You’ll always find a consistent smiley face on the moon if you pay a good attention. She does her work peacefully and diligently with a consistent smile.

Lessons from the moon 3: Love what you do. If you want to help people, do it with a cheerful heart. It’s one thing to give; it’s another to give without strings attached.

OVERCOME YOUR OBSTACLES AND FEARS

There are nights in which the moon does not appear. From Geography we understand that it’s eclipse of the moon that takes place those dark nights. Though these dark nights may persist for a while, we always know that soon, our dear moon will smile again.

Lessons from the moon 4: This life is full of ups and downs, even the moon experiences it. But always remember that with perseverance and consistent efforts, you too will shine again.

GREATNESS CAN BE ACHIEVED

Greatness usually comes as a result of achieving remarkable things. It comes as a result of holding on and ensuring that success is achieved without giving up along the way. The moon is great and high up in the sky for everyone to see.

If the moon can make a difference in the world, so can us. The moon gives us hope and faith that the light (Sun) is coming, so can we give each other. Even though it’s not always easy for the moon to give us this belief, she does it anyway. Sometimes the moon becomes half, sometimes a quarter, or not even seen at all, but eventually, she’ll become full again. No matter how tough life is, we should never give ourselves a reason to quit. Rather, we should give ourselves ‘a thousand and one’ reasons never to give up.

This life is not always easy, but whatever you do, make sure you are making a positive impact on humanity and most importantly, do it with a smile.
