The Erica genus of the Ericaceae family includes many plants used to decorate gardens and balconies as it is particularly suitable for outdoor breeding even if it is good for being bred in pots and inside.

They are bushy perennial plants, native to South Africa, particularly rustic, not too large in size, with bushy growth.

It forms numerous barrels covered by thin needle leaves that towards the end of Autumn period cover small colorful bellflowers of varying color depending on the species and variety, very numerous that make the plant look like a colored cloud.

The flowers are gathered in ears or end racemes on the branches of the previous year of very different color from white to red alive.

The leaves are small and needle-shaped, vertiginate and depending on the species, they can assume shades ranging from yellow, red, rust to orange.erica3.jpg
