Exploring Maine's Coastal Forests

in #nature7 years ago

As we continue our Maine adventure experience, and travel back and forth from the interior too the coastal regions we will bring the sights and sounds to Steemit first before we even place these on our own website. The raw video content is being done on the spot and uploaded on our Youtube channel just for steemit as well. There is a certain amount of freedom you enjoy when you have the ability to move around, and to enjoy nature.

Recently we have been noticing clam beds, and signs of wildlife brings these clams onshore to consume them. I'm sure at some point we will even find the animal that is doing so.

The coastal forests have an unusual softness to the top layer of the ground due to moss and pine needles building up over the years.

The forest is a combination of evergreen coniferous trees and leafy green deciduous trees.

Interior kelp or seaweed that live in a combination of salty and fresh water is in abundance at low tide. As you can see from the pictures nature and Maine go hand in hand. As we drive around the area it is also clear that nature is reasserting it's self in this area. Where there has been 300 years of development pieces here and there are having their life after people moments.
