welcome!
Today I´m going to teach you how to make a bonsai like this one
![IMG_20180211_090936[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmXf6GKXYFgVKmRcXY99JyuaXWZLQA5rwXNS5RFX9csFAo/IMG_20180211_090936%5B1%5D.jpg)
first we are going to need these tools:
![IMG_20180211_093243[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmWmCn1Cjho7HKYV2svWiR5RHSVvCaQKaQNtvBvtGhtDaf/IMG_20180211_093243%5B1%5D.jpg)
![IMG_20180211_093249[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmc1PA3bVyaKXTeetSGctvZYJ6g4sPDA2wXa7TDRti9ngr/IMG_20180211_093249%5B1%5D.jpg)
Then we are going to need the copper wire....you can look for them in old motors from damage machines likes this one
![IMG_20180211_093350[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmZxk3tPMu7TCuzeZzypTu6AL86HNG42TAErsordv9M8bE/IMG_20180211_093350%5B1%5D.jpg)
After you get the wire copper you have to cut it in 60 copper hairs of 60 cm
![IMG_20180211_093728[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmQzUmsuEJKAVghVs9RbceadEkQzT4LwpdAFKvbzQGxUAg/IMG_20180211_093728%5B1%5D.jpg)
these are the proportions of each part of the copper hair:
the red part are going to be the roots of the tree
the Green part is going to be the trunk of the tree
the Blue part are going to be the branches
the gray part are going to be the leaves
Be careful that each hair are the same size
![IMG_20180211_094118_597[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmSX8iCaJVpprtuu52nuAH4xpKRBH78YgkXzytXwBx5QfR/IMG_20180211_094118_597%5B1%5D.jpg)
the first thing you have to do is twist the trunk, and divide the roots in 5 equal parts, then split each root in two equal parts!
![IMG_20180211_094149_372[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmYUCTqokw8tqymJA1T31JrmKqFN7XrzQGeVzggAVsVK7y/IMG_20180211_094149_372%5B1%5D.jpg)
![IMG_20180211_094308_008[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmXon66KYWH2H1FZYvVm6hqG6WJF4Dtu4SimP8ag5fvAiy/IMG_20180211_094308_008%5B1%5D.jpg)
later start twisting each root of the side that you want, you have to be care of always spliting it in two equal parts
![IMG_20180211_094423_411[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmfWK3L8jUL7SAYNTocK3BzkBsk4o63ZFfKpmPgsefYgBq/IMG_20180211_094423_411%5B1%5D.jpg)
when you finish the roots, they must look like this
![IMG_20180210_091534[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmeCkxHZyFJTriAKf3MfYKtEhPxh4BihpM6Jk5zp1xFJpU/IMG_20180210_091534%5B1%5D.jpg)
later you can start making the branches, the size of the branch will depend on you, take all the copper hair that you want for that branch and twist it....... here is my first branch
![IMG_20180210_091726[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmY2mksVBuvwLt7MKDBdSGUmMV7aSnRxfh53HdzeHGJsdr/IMG_20180210_091726%5B1%5D.jpg)
the second one
![IMG_20180210_091841[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmUd27anDT324oUtXfmq8Kegm4de97Tb4xU6i49z5FZGnZ/IMG_20180210_091841%5B1%5D.jpg)
the third one
![IMG_20180210_091945[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmXUWePnSmsdcVGfnovtYSQDAR89fy6gQ9jXcahufPAQZP/IMG_20180210_091945%5B1%5D.jpg)
I decided to do 4 branches here there are....each color are a branch
![IMG_20180211_094638_814[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmaxHsD5en8nPhDg56x2ZXWwcws9L89VAWXtJ95X5XLftf/IMG_20180211_094638_814%5B1%5D.jpg)
on this part you can aply the same rule that the roots, split the branch in 2 equaly parts a twist each one.....when you get the size that you want split it again in two parts
![IMG_20180211_094730_940[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmXvAp7t7zvP9antpBqNuguqT5Y2uvPAHuhpgSGoVHdJCq/IMG_20180211_094730_940%5B1%5D.jpg)
![IMG_20180211_094801_330[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmYGkGn3MxndGSQQ8qtF3ugxP4jn7N6iscDXwrZSQtMiHH/IMG_20180211_094801_330%5B1%5D.jpg)
look that when I get the size that I want (look at the red circle) I split and twist....when I get de size that I want (look at the blue circles) I split again
![IMG_20180211_094850_802[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmcHnHEU6GhrpK9kk4swXbsB5w3MNnSUBddD2RJ9E1p583/IMG_20180211_094850_802%5B1%5D.jpg)
finally when you get to the hair you must stop twisting, on this part whe are going to start making the leaves.....this branch gave me 4 leaves
![IMG_20180211_094920_279[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmZwNPhP929TU56Svq13Hqu2ZMeQxLGVocXu7b2UZz5tYk/IMG_20180211_094920_279%5B1%5D.jpg)
on this part take the tip of the hair and twist it with the special pliers
![IMG_20180210_092606[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmR9AnH9kmxzDqokfrKrHHx5VmDgrvmiQhZoFNZn2XKpJT/IMG_20180210_092606%5B1%5D.jpg)
![IMG_20180210_092630[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmaYrbgDP5PYvNSDQC42ubdbufLMW9mqsEL5yLycD7QHpC/IMG_20180210_092630%5B1%5D.jpg)
then take 5 mm distance from the circle you just made and twist it again with the same movement you just did.....like this
![IMG_20180210_092719[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmfNEiZ1nHDmE8W56KFrcJcUzup1PdDj6ZFzh9CMskn5cR/IMG_20180210_092719%5B1%5D.jpg)
![IMG_20180210_092730[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQme4kfAmt4PQZjuxG5Fx8kFVfHYDSfka4H4N5AMNJbwicc/IMG_20180210_092730%5B1%5D.jpg)
![IMG_20180210_092748[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmS4mN3FrcLXz1GnqWfxz32m4pwGxhouxooaknagRdHb8M/IMG_20180210_092748%5B1%5D.jpg)
![IMG_20180210_092804[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmSoBGSXMWHtALckKUMF38b2MQunkiuwmJXtXjAWZRC7oQ/IMG_20180210_092804%5B1%5D.jpg)
repeat until all the hair is circled.....when you finish, it must look like this.......a straight side and a circled side
![IMG_20180211_095123_394[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmYVsq1Ho4G1pjuqqpREha2Bhvt2XgxexCSPAkg7HjYzDi/IMG_20180211_095123_394%5B1%5D.jpg)
then take the tip of the leaf again and start twisting it on the circle side like this
![IMG_20180211_095206_723[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmVGtEzg36yySdPrwgyJ8WzDZ3ieTFG2BJBVd4WbV7LfgT/IMG_20180211_095206_723%5B1%5D.jpg)
![IMG_20180210_093119[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmdNCU7rRQGDXxWCG1Mo5DqjG8xN5q5MEUQfqhgH4QBra6/IMG_20180210_093119%5B1%5D.jpg)
when you finish smash the leaf like this
![IMG_20180210_093140[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmTdQAWLakyWBuLHWfXHuVETJbqLn5VewxeviXYtrjYD6X/IMG_20180210_093140%5B1%5D.jpg)
and finally you have you first leaf
![IMG_20180210_093147[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmP4KGW4cXycYhsq4XMUWvvsY9Njku9F1JD3ivqV9nVR1K/IMG_20180210_093147%5B1%5D.jpg)
repeat the process and you will finish the complete bonsai tree
I will show you all the process till I finished
![IMG_20180210_124143[1].jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmbSfD1V1WkqhsWeC9PmGpvCJ11XT6UqqHac91fcupJHc3/IMG_20180210_124143%5B1%5D.jpg)

I hope You like this tutorial, Please follow me and give me a vote if you like it!!!.......I promise keep posting more tecniques of bonsai copper trees
Excellent tutorial, congratulations and I hope you follow me, thank you very much!
I've seen lots of copper willow trees, but this is the first bonsai I've seen mafe from copper. I really like the leaf technique. It look's like so many leaves from just one hair of wire! Thanks for sharing this. You should do a #freearttuesday with one of these. Finding one of these would definately brighten someone's day!
thanks so much!! I will post another but on a rock!!! I´ll explain how to do it too!!.........what is that #freearttuesday??? can you explain it to me please!
Yeah, I wrote about it in my Free Art post. When I make a piece of art, sometimes I put a note on it that says it’s free art, who ever finds it can keep it. Then I put it out somewhere... in a park or beside a tree.... just somewhere that it will be found by a stranger. I’m going to take a picture of it and tell about it, and post it with the tag #freearttuesday each week. :)
whoa what a great idea jejeje That sounds really good!! I will do it
I’ll be looking for posts with the tag and doing some upvoting and tips on them next week. :)
