I'm really surprised they were able to make any progress, let alone eradicate them completely. Very cool how they used multiple lines of evidence to assess the population.
The island biogeographer in me wonders how well their approach would work if there was a larger chance of invasive immigration.
Yep, it's a great achievement really. I would have expected that they would still find some scattered rat populations in certain parts of the island, but it seems like the bait was very effective.
